Membership rules and regulations of Bangladesh Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (BSPD) as follows.

Membership Eligibilities & Classification:

The guidelines for experiences in the stated fields and qualifications to become eligible to be considered for the following classes of membership shall be as decided by association based on the recommendations of the Executive Committee from time to time.

1. a) Regular Members:

Regular membership will be open to doctors who are actively involved in nephrology service. Full member should have postgraduate degree/diploma in nephrology and/or employed in hospital/institute in nephrology service. Regular member will have voting privilege and can stand for office.

1. b) Associate Members:

Associate membership will be open to all nurses, technicians and dietitians involved in peritoneal dialysis. However, they would need a recommendation from regular member/institution/hospital/ departmental head. They will not enjoy any voting privileges and cannot stand for any office. 

1. c) Guest Members:

Fulfilling criteria of regular or associate member but not residing in Bangladesh. However, they will not enjoy any voting privileges and cannot stand for any office.

1. d) Corporate Members:

Corporate membership will be open to 

1. Companies who are major sponsors of any programs of association.
2. Companies dealing in products related to peritoneal dialysis or nephrology in general.
3. e) Honorary Members:

The Executive Committee may confer Honorary Membership of the Association to any Individual who has made significant contribution in the pursuit of the stated objectives. An honorary member shall be eligible to get communications, leaflets, and such other related publication of the Association and participate in the activities of the association. Can’t stand for the office. No voting rights shall accrue to the Honorary Members. 

1. f) Life Members:

Life membership will be open to regular members after paying certain dues for life time.

MEMBERSHIP DUES :

1. a) Regular member – BDT 200/year
2. b) Associate member – BDT 100/year
3. c) Guest member :
4. SAARC countries – US$ 50.00
5. Other countries – US$ 100.00
6. d) Corporate member – BDT (Upon discussion)
7. e) Honorary Member – Free.  
8. f) Life member – BDT 2,000/-

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS:

1. a) Regularize payment of yearly member subscription.
2. b) Training program organized by the Society.
3. c) Take Participation in the programs thrown by the Society.
4. d) The individual and organization member shall be eligible to get communication leaflets and such other related publications of the Association and participate in the activities of the Association.
